Standard Fire Extinguisher Cabinets
A standard fire extinguisher cabinet is one of the simplest yet most widely used firefighting equipment, playing a crucial role in building safety. In this article, join Ader Tavan Nami as we review our company’s fire extinguisher cabinets, along with a general overview of standard fire hose cabinets.
A standard fire extinguisher cabinet represents the first manual firefighting station inside a building, allowing occupants to manually access water during a fire emergency. In fact, these cabinets complement automatic suppression systems—although they are never substitutes for such systems in large-scale fires.
While the fire extinguisher cabinet itself does not extinguish fires, it houses critical firefighting equipment. Unfortunately, poor-quality cabinets often hinder access to these items, significantly reducing user effectiveness during emergencies. This is why at Ader Tavan Nami , the quality and reliability of our products remain the first and foremost priority in production.
In summary, at Ader Tavan Nami , standard fire extinguisher cabinets are manufactured in various dimensions, materials, and colors, customized based on the building type, fire scenarios, and required equipment.

At Ader Tavan Nami, by fully adhering to the national fire department standards, we impose no limitations in production. Customization can be applied to Dimensions, sheet thickness, material selection, color execution and color variety, type of fittings, exclusive product design, and all the items you struggle with to choose an efficient box will be applicable.
According to the regulations of the Fire Department, whether the projects are urban (including residential, commercial office projects, hotels, schools, hospitals, etc.) or industrial, in accordance with the requirements of the (HSE) department in that project (such as factories, petrochemicals, refineries, power plants, etc.), the need for these boxes is felt everywhere. Only their type may be different. For example, in boxes used in smaller urban/industrial projects, a single-cabin box (single-purpose – single-door) with the possibility of using a reel with any type of hose can give way to more common boxes (dual-purpose – double-door) with a compartment for the reel and a compartment for the extinguisher. In projects called (s3) buildings, according to the regulations of the Fire Department (refer to the website www.125.ir, Prevention Services Section / Fire Regulations), two-story boxes with a reel on the upper floor and a hose reel on the lower floor are most often used. Industrial-type boxes in large projects have a much wider range than what we have listed, and we will provide a separate article for them in the future for our dear readers. Choosing the material of the standard fire box :
All types of these boxes that we have mentioned in a selective manner can be produced as all-iron (CS.ST12), all-steel (with various types of steel) or half-iron and half-steel in thicknesses of 1.5 mm and above. If iron is used in part of the box, in order to protect it from rust and chipping, a paint coating should be used, and both types of electrostatic paint and three-layer paint with high thickness and the best quality will be applicable.
It is worth noting that, given the honor of the presence of the famous Adretvan Company in the Oil and Gas Vendor List and the Petrochemical Vendor List and the obligation to maintain the quality of all the subsidiaries of this company’s supply chain, starting from Friday, paint, fittings, iron and steel sheets, etc. are procured from the best factories with the Superior Production Label in Iran and, after approval by the Quality Control (QC) unit in the company’s factory, are made available to the production department.
The fittings used in fire boxes should provide access to the items inside the boxes in the shortest possible time. According to the new rules for using these boxes, the locks should be easy to open, and the key-operated locks that were previously used have been replaced by door locks due to the difficulty of use during a fire. Regarding the hinges, according to the regulations, the doors of the boxes should open 180 degrees. This opening can be done with both exposed hinges and, at the request of the respected architects of the project, with hidden hinges. The fittings used by this company are entirely made of dry-cast lead and are nickel-chrome plated.
Fire Extinguisher Accessories
As mentioned above, each box is equipped with different items based on its use, but most boxes have these components:
Aerator (in sizes ¾”, 1”, 1/2”, 1/2”, 1/2” and 2”)
Reel or hose rack or holder (hose container)
Hose (high-pressure rubber in sizes ¾”, 1” or hemp in sizes 1/2”, 1”, 1/2” and 2”)
Nozzle in sizes appropriate for the hose
Note that the above items are the simplest box layout; most boxes hold much more items, which we will discuss in future articles.
Maintenance and Training
Remember, fire safety is essential, and proper maintenance of fire equipment in buildings and … ensures that these systems operate effectively in the event of an incident, so if your building is equipped with the highest quality fire boxes and equipment, but periodic company inspections are not carried out on them and there is no one responsible for their maintenance and repair, or the residents have not acquired the minimum necessary knowledge about its use, unfortunately this equipment may still not be effective for you, therefore we consider it our duty to take a small step towards awareness before a fire and an accident for our companions and fellow citizens. Thank you for being with Ader Tuan Nami
