Ader Tavan Nami provides full design, engineering, and construction services for Tower Monitors (also known as Elevated Fire Monitors) — structural steel towers used to raise a fire monitor to a height where it can cover storage tanks, marine terminals, or other hard-to-reach fire risk areas. Every Tower Fire Monitor is engineered according to GB 50017 and GBJ 135-90 structural steel standards, with wind and seismic resistance calculated for the project's specific location, and built up to a maximum height of 24 meters with up to three access platforms. One of our recent Tower Monitor installations is currently in operation at Phase 12 (EPC2), covering heights from 14 to 24 meters.

Among the various fire monitor types is the Tower Monitor or Elevated Fire Monitor, which is a structural device used to increase the coverage area of fire monitors. It is especially useful for targeting storage tanks from a specific height above ground level, such as in marine terminals.
The challenge with tower monitors is that the structure must be stable and resistant to wind and seismic forces. It must also withstand the reaction forces generated by the monitor, accommodate platforms, access ladders, pipelines, and other components, and ensure the safe delivery of water or extinguishing agents to the monitor installed at the top.
Tower monitors are typically constructed from structural carbon steel. The material specifications such as shape, grade, and thickness are determined through dedicated software calculations, and the monitors are designed and manufactured in compliance with EN 1990 and EN 1090-1 standards.
