Fire Hydrant ( ATH 2 ) is Ader Tavan Nami’s Dry Barrel type hydrant valve, designed for regions where freezing temperatures are a risk. Unlike a wet barrel design, no water is stored inside the Dry Barrel Hydrant ( ATH2 ) body under normal conditions — water only enters from the main pipeline when the valve is opened, and once closed, the remaining water automatically drains through a base drain valve. This keeps the barrel empty during winter, protecting the unit and its internal components from ice damage and freeze-related failure, which makes it the preferred choice over wet barrel hydrants in colder climates.
Manufactured from Ductile Cast Iron for long-term durability in outdoor and buried installations, the ATH2 features a 4″, 6″, or 8″ inlet connection and multiple outlet configurations — including twin 2.1/2″ ports, or combinations with 1″ or 2″ landing valves — fitted with globe or gate-type landing valves to suit different flow and pressure requirements. A dedicated pumper connection allows direct coupling with fire trucks when additional flow capacity is needed. All exposed surfaces receive an electrostatic 3-layer paint finish for corrosion resistance, and the sheet thickness is 4mm or greater to withstand mechanical stress in high-traffic areas.
The Fire Hydrant ( ATH2 ) is commonly installed in industrial and mining facilities, educational premises, roadways, and commercial parking areas, and is available in Above-Ground (AG) or Underground (UG) configurations according to project requirements, with overall dimensions customized to match each site’s layout and access needs.
