Premixed foam storage, also known as a Foam Solution Storage Tank, is one of the essential components of foam-based fire suppression systems, responsible for holding premixed foam or foam concentrate before it enters the piping network and is discharged into the fire area. This tank is typically installed alongside foam discharge equipment (such as a foam chamber or foam pourer) and, depending on the system design, can operate either independently or as part of an integrated network.
Technical Specifications and Structure of Premixed Foam Storage
Ader Tavan Nami’s premixed foam storage tank is built from ASTM 516 GR70 steel sheet, 10 mm thick — a standard known for its high resistance to internal pressure and harsh environmental conditions. These foam solution storage tanks range in capacity from 800 to 8,000 liters, sized according to the project’s required volume, the type of flammable material involved, and the client’s safety standard. Final tank dimensions are fully customized and manufactured according to the project’s drawings and work order.
To discharge foam from the tank into the network, a nitrogen (N2) gas cylinder is used to supply the pressure needed to drive the foam through the system; this discharge method is manually controlled. After welding, the tank body undergoes sandblasting to fully remove rust and surface impurities, and is then finished with a three-layer protective coating for resistance to corrosion, moisture, and weather exposure.
Applications and Installation of Premixed Foam Storage
This foam solution storage tank serves as the feed component of a foam fire suppression setup in high-risk industrial projects, including fuel storage tanks, refineries, aircraft hangars, paint booths, and flammable material warehouses. Since these areas are typically exposed to Class B fires, having a foam storage tank with adequate capacity enables a fast, effective response to fire.
Why Choose Ader Tavan Nami’s Premixed Foam Storage Tank?
Every premixed foam storage tank (foam solution storage tank) built at Ader Tavan Nami is fully customized to match each project’s technical specifications. Before production begins, our technical team provides a free consultation based on the type of flammable material, the installation space, and the project’s required standard, to help select the most suitable capacity and design.
